Meaning? The food that I ate during Saturday night when I played "cooking mama" at Donkoi's place in Singapore.
Portobello O Mushi-mashi
I am a big fan for mushroom. Mush Mush Mush. Any dish with mushroom would surely be listed in my order in the restaurant. A few years ago, I first came across and fell in love with this amazing mushroom - Portobello Mushroom. Since then, I cannot forget about the mushroom. Most of the time, a portobello mushroom cuisine served without slicing is always quite pricey. So, I haven't eaten it ever since my first time at the Sire Museum Restaurant.
When Donkoi and I went shopping at Fair Price on Saturday, I saw it again. It was $3.80SGD. Expensive, but irresistible. Bought and tried out!
Portobello Mushroom
Need a bit of grilling/saute to perfect the dish...
Uniquely Donkoi's Spaghetti
Unbeatable and unbelievable. Spaghetti with tomato sauce, decorated with greens and carrots, flavored with freshly minced garlic, sprinkled with herbs and parmesan cheese generously. Donkoi's Signature. Delicious hearty pasta. A way to get to a woman's heart is through her stomach.
Again? ^_^
Yellow Tailed with Dark Choc. & Cheese
Heard about Yellow Tail in a presentation lately and wondered did I ever drink it. Finally, I could say I did. The Yellow Tail we got from Fair Price was not sealed with wooden cork, like any other red wine bottles. Instead, it was sealed with the metal bottle cap. Not sure it is Yellow Tail style or it is Fair Price style. To be verified soon.
We started drinking to celebrate for Manchester United victory. Ok, the reason is lame. I know. We just need a reason to drink, a license to not feel guilty for indulging in a little bit of red. We tried out Hershey's 60% cocoa with Yellow Tail's slight fruity red wine. Conclusion from the experiment is perfect combination doesn't require two perfect items. I ended up crawling to the refrigerator to get a piece of bread cheese to go with the wine. Oh, it was a good combination. Sometimes, legacy exists for a reason; we are just too young to believe in it. ;-P
