Macy's 4th of July Fireworks 2011

After reading a few thread in forum, I have successfully unload this ~25 min (1.85G) video off my iPhone. YES!

The crazy me tried to upload this video from my iPhone directly to Youtube on the night itself. Guess what have happened? My iPhone went on strike mode aka "hang" mode for close to 30 minutes. I was in fear of losing many polarized photos I had from the trip as well as this 25 min firework clip. Seriously, my hands were numb by positioning the phone to film the action from the 2 branches of fireworks in front of me. When my iPhone finally came back alive, I reconciled with my baby and promised not to force it to do something beyond its limit so long I remembered this 4th of July's tantrum.

I tried to offload the clip to my PC the old school copy and paste method. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I attempted, I kept getting a 0byte movie file on my PC. I was screaming furiously at the top of my lungs at the N times I tried. But, like I promised to my baby, as long as the 4th of July's tantrum was vivid in my mind, I would not try something foolish again. Slowly, the excitement to share this amazingly awesome firework faded away with the more counts of attempts.

This unfinished task was finally becoming the priority again because I intended to clear up my phone for more summer - fall photos in iPhone. So, I followed this instruction.
The photos and video files are stored in 'Backup' folder ("C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ (for win xp)) just before iphone is sync'ed with itunes program. So, after you sync it, find the backup folder, try sorting the files according to size, and find the big files which should be the video files. Then copy them to your folder & rename them to .mov extension.

Voila, it works!!! Finally, the 1.85G video was moved from my phone to my PC. Then, the Youtube took nearly 5 hours to upload this video. What is so wonderful about this video? You have a chance to see 6 massive explosions happened altogether on the Hudson River with Hokkien narration from both Penang-lang, Donkoi and I. By the way, this fireworks is the biggest annual fireworks performance in the USA. May be you should drag to the ending highlight if you don't have the time to sit down to watch this video. :-)
