Prep for Penang Bridge International Marathon 2010

I have signed up for it before the early bird promotion was off. Asked many athletic friends to participate together. The routine reply was always uncertain/may be. Finally, I signed up myself. Alone. Later on, Donkoi joined the early bird sign-up too. We both saved RM10 each.

Though there are 172 days/almost 6 months/half a year from the actual marathon day, I have started my training. First task was to try to run for a duration longer than half an hour. I successfully achieved it. Felt so good after that session. I went celebrating my little milestone by having ikan bakar with Lee Fong & Lie Wei before Lee Fong's US trip. After resting/lazing/partying/playing for 10 days, I finally went on treadmill again. Today, I made 4.25km running. Besides aiming for Penang Bridge Marathon, I am training for my park connector jog. Donkoi would take me to run at park connector behind his house the next time I am in Singapore. The closest park to his house is 6km away (if I remember it correctly). I definitely hope I can make it there without a time-off at the side of the humongous man-made drain. We were talking about bringing sandwich and cool Vitagen to go for a picnic at the park. Good attraction to keep on running. Of course, we have to keep the rabbits at the bay. They should not finish the food under the tree before reaching the park, right? :)

Anyway, for whoever that want to set a humble healthy lifestyle with a goal in mind, you can sign up for Penang Bridge Marathon here! For half marathon, the current price is RM40. It is RM5 less than the final sign-up price. Fun run is available too!

By the way, I have created my own guns & buns workout tracker to motivate myself to run at least once every 10 days. Possible to happen? Let's see how often it is being updated; good night! ^_^
