I did not do anything special this year. It is the same as the previous years - booked a lunch table at 747, YMCA (done by my aunt), brought my grandma, my aunts and my mum to have lunch together.
The highlight of the meal - everyone had their own bowl of shark fin soup. The shark fin soup was delicious and full of assorted of expensive seafood. Yummy, yet cruel. Sigh. If only I can stop liking shark fin soup...
By the way, my sister was really thoughtful. She bought 4 stalks of red carnation flowers from Kampar when she was making her trip home. ^_^ Winding back the old memory, carnation flower was my first Mother's Day gift for my mum. I wonder she still remember about it?! (should ask her later)

After the lunch, I spent my evening at my aunt's place. Her neighborhood is my most favourite neighborhood in Penang. Her place is located at the old neighborhood, which I grew up at before moving to Bayan Lepas area.
Around her place, people have the strong "curiousity" to bug into neighbors' business. New rumuors occur daily to fill up the morning and evening broadcast slot in the hallway channel hosted by the aunties.
Around her place, people know people. They say "Hi" to avoid the awkwardness of staring into each other eyes in the lift or corridor.

Around her place, people help people. They hold on to the open button at the lift to wait for their next-door neighbor or next-floor neighbor or daughter's friend's parents when they come home with their marketing good.
I love this neighborhood. It is so much warmer and cheerful with people around all the time! :)
