Donkoi told me a few days ago, "I need to go and buy my mum a birthday card. Order from papa." I offered then, "How about I tried to make one?" But, Donkoi answered with doubtful tone, "Sure." I guessed he was thinking, "Worst come to worst, I can still purchase one on Monday. Why not just give her a chance to embarass herself once and for all!" Haha, my imagination! ^_^
So, just now, after celebrating another glory moment for Manchested United again and cursing Lee Chog Wei for losing to Lin Dan again, I came home and started digging all my card making material. Then, only came to realize that I actually had no hard paper around, but at least 100+ of 80gram colour papers.
Since I had this strong urge in finishing this assignment, decision was to create origami on the card to give the card a more solid feel. After trying to google while reading the H1N1 developement in the country, I stumbled upon "puzzle purse" making process at Martha Steward. It appeared rather simple. Attempting to create the origami by following the step-by-step diagram, but failed to create the "puzzle purse". Hair wired and smokes puffing out from my head.
Luckily, I found another helpful site, showing the missing step. I managed to get it done! Now, I had a plain 4 pages card including the back. For the front and the back, I used the stickers to decorate them. As for the middle layer, I used my butterfly paper puncher to create butterfly frame. (I need other patterns punchers! Hint...hint...) Then, I folded a heart and glued it in the inner layer. Voila, I am done! I recorded my work using my Nokia handphone and the pictures look quite nice... :-) (Donkoi, it is waiting for you to use on Monday if you are satisfied with the card...)
