I went to Seri Cahaya today and gave away the RM113 worth of groceries, sharing out with another three friends/colleagues. It felt like two years ago when all of us were still in the company community team. Nostalgic...
The whole one-and-half-hour of lunch was filled with drama of Addy and Sin Yee "biting" each others. Not the kinky type; more of the type, which Hong Ann has to say, "Stop it, Kids" and two of them have to say, "Yes, mum". You got the picture...
After registering all the donated items, we helped ourselves with the home vegetarian buffet lunch. We all enjoyed it, but Addy enjoyed it the most as his sweats kept dripping from head to toe. Muahaha! (Read more about the buffet lunch!)

We talked to one of the home founders (Kali) after the lunch. She was asking us to provide some learning programs for the orphans in the home. I verbally agreed to teach the kids something. Now, I need to come out with a program during the mid-year school holiday. The happiest thing - all the people in the same trip are offering to teach something that they are really skillful at. (I am thinking of teaching Mandarin. Currently, looking for a chance to source cheap mandarin kindergarten books for them to practice the writing.)
Overall, I had a meaningful lunch hour. I am very impressed with the effort of the home. There are an increasing numbers of old folks in the home compared to my last trip. The home is currently providing shelter to young children and old folks. Besides, it is also providing assistance to single mothers and incapable people by giving out food to them and helping them to get a job. In addition to all that I had mentioned, Seri Cahaya is storing clothes/apparatus for the annual India trip to help the homeless folks, who are suffering from hunger at the street. I feel like buying air ticket to go with Kali as well...
