Bangkok Day 2 - Kaoshan Road

Late Tea Break
After coming out of the Grand Palace, we were starving. So, we just stopped at any food stalls by the road side to have food.

This surely looks tempting to my meat-loving boyfriend.

Kaoshan Road
Since we had bad experiences with the tuk-tuk, we decided to walk to Kaoshan Road by foot.

Crossing this traffic was crazy.

During the later part of the trip, I felt that we should be staying at this backpacker area to access to many tourist spots easily by foot. (Sukhumvit area was more for shoppers/business folks) Besides, this place is filled with assorted of Thai food, which making me happy by just looking at them. slurp* :-)

Sukhumvit
After visiting Kaoshan road, my legs were sore and exhausted. They were like car running out petrol. "I can't walk anymore", I told Donkoi. So, we hitched a taxi to go back to Sukhumvit. We were worrying that we might be cheated again, so, we asked the local in 7-11. The instruction was to request the taxi driver to run on meter, then, we should be safe. Of course, it worked! Donkoi and I were happy that we found another reliable transportation in Bangkok.

But, to enter Sukhumvit area at 5~8 evening, it would probably take hours. So, instead of sending us all the way to Soi 57, our driver dropped us at Soi 7. We started the longest walk ever, with our tired legs... We stopped occasionally. During the long walk, some distances were in total darkness, some distances were lonely with just light decorations from the closing shops, some distances were food stalls occupied with office workers and some distances were vibrant and noisy with night market stalls setting up by the road side.
