Moo Moo Pun Choi

When my aunts told me that we were going to celebrate Ren Ri with Pun Choi, I was all excited. [Something new means something good. During Chinese New Year, everything must be new, even the dish has to be new to the family.]

I kept thinking, "What is pun choi?" After talking around with people, I realized that I was the only "frog under the well". Apparently, pun choi is a famous Hakka's dish for Chinese New Year. As sister and brother needed to leave Penang on Ren Ri itself, the lunch was brought forward to the Sixth day of Chinese New Year.

"Pun Choi, I am coming earlier..."

Since we missed the proper Lou Sheng on the Second Day, aunties ordered a YuShang for us to "Play". As usual, Star View's Yu Shang Ho-Chiak!

As you can observe from the photo, my sister is really busy with chopstick and phone.

After fulfilling the Chinese New Year ritual, new prosperous hopes boosted me up. Even though there is no increment, there must be another chance waiting for me somewhere. May be winning lottery. Wohohoho.... V(^0^)V

About five minutes later, the waitress placed an interesting big covered bowl over a burning fire on our table. Curiosity is the natural inquisitive behavior of human being towards unknown. The reactions are always cute and entertaining.

When I take my camera out again, the bowl is all clean with fatt choy only.

Oh, actually, Pun Choi looks like this. It was so YUMMY, but was so expensive! It cost near to RM500 for a bowl... Luckily, it was not charged upon a person with no increment. Thank you, San Yi and Happy Lunar Birthday to you. Muaksss.
