The community team organized a blood donation and organ pledging day yesterday in the company yesterday. As one of the committee members, I surely had to take action to support our event rather than in doing smooth talking to get people to participate in the program. Thus, with my hemophobia, I had donated my B+ blood for the fifth time in my life. Yes, I was terrified and I even tried to delay it by eating the famous delicious karipap from the General Hospital of Penang. There might be a moment of pondering, but I imagined someone out there need my blood for a second chance of living and that someone is my love one. Then, I pushed myself into doing it again.
Besides, I had signed up myself for the organ donation program. Someday, when I passed away, I will be able to help:
1. two kidneys failure patients
2. one heart problem patient
3. one liver problem patient
4. one lung problem patient
5. a pair of eyes to give visibility
6. bones for (?)
7. Skin for burnt patients
All of these will only happen, provided that the organs are in suitable condition for transplant and the transplant processes are successfully accomplished. The next thing to do is to tell/convince my parents/my close ones regrading my wish because the hospital will need their final consent for the organ harvesting. The difficult part is yet to be done. "Mum & dad, please love me for wanting to see people living if I can't myself."
