First week of 2008

Filtered away the noise of fireworks. Rejecting the cheers of all human race. Turning down delicious BBQ invitation. I celebrated the ticking-in of 2008 in peaceful, comfortable bed with a soft voice greeting me, "Happy New Year." I was bliss completely at the arrival of 2008 with a very much anticipated dinner to look forward. The happy feeling is better than being showered by those sticky snow spray.

Every days and nights ever since the arrival of 2008 were different. I experienced happy deeds and not-so-happy deeds. On the first day of the year, I had crazy shopping at Queensbay shopping with Poay Ying. We shopped for six hours, yet we only managed to finish the ground floor. However, we all made our credit cards in good use. :-D

The next day was horrible, menstrual pain again. *Damn* The day was brightened up when Pei Theng said she is coming home during Chinese New Year. I have always miss her...

I found Benny The Skeleton (my new year gift from Seng Ming) sitting in my cube and helping me to do my works when I was away. Of course, drinking from my cup as well.

Surprises seems to be the only constant in this living. On the next day, I was informed that I was elected as chairperson for my company community drive the day before, when I was not around. In the afternoon, we received e-mail from my boss that Swee Hua's mum had passed away. (enough?!) I don't know...

First Friday of 2008. I traveled with my colleagues to Taiping to attend Swee Hua's mum funeral. Then, we went for good western food at Chicago, AutoCity on our way back. Afterwards, I went hanging out with Donkoi's colleagues at Soho. All of the unconnected events happened in one night. I did them, but I found these were very unbelievable.

On the next day, Khai Sing had her wedding dinner at Equatorial Hotel. The photo for people at: www.slide.com. On that night itself, I finished reading the first book of 2008. The main character of the story book actually committed suicide by the end of the book. It did send a chill down my spine. I hate stories with sad endings, though that is the truth of the life.

We were invited to see the hotel room.

Today, I had just eaten the discounted Baskin Robin ice-cream I bought on 31st of December 2007. Most of all, I had a dinner just now with someone, who I think is the best gift for 2008 new year because we finally back in face-to-face talking term. I really like it. (I am being really personal and emotional in this post. Hopefully, no one misuse the information for commercial purpose... :-D. Let's believe the world is getting better by each years I go. Cheer!)

Ending the post with Donkoi and Leangz~** saying "Hello" for the first time in 2008
