The newly wed in my office

This is an entry not about myself, but about a colleague of mine, who was the first one to get married while working in my department. :-) Enjoy the geez~**

3-6-2007, Sunday
Swee Hua's wedding was held in his hometown, Taiping. Together with a bunch of colleagues, we traveled from Penang to attend their wedding lunch. (I had not stopped by Taiping for nearly 2 years, I think. Taiping was drizzling as usual when we reached in the town.)

Together with Swee Hua & Swee Hua's wife

8-6-2007, Friday
Then, Swee Hua was out from the office for the last whole week to have his honeymoon in Hong Kong. On Friday evening, exhausted but "creative" engineers started to crowd in Swee Hua's cube after work. They started to help Swee Hua to clean up the desk, packing his scattering papers, his in-house shoes and utilities into box. Once they started, they could not stop! They began dispatching the LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse and his telephone. After the half an hour session, Swee Hua's cube looked as empty as the new hire cube/the empty cube left beside me after Percy moved to the other side of the office. But, I must say it is really a good starting point for him to restart working by rearranging his cube after a vacation. (I contributed a "RELOCATE" sign for his cube, which led to another interesting story...)

Weekend cleaner replacement
12-6-2007, Tuesday
The first day Swee Hua returned from his honeymoon. He came in during the time when the department was having their routine meeting. So, his jaw dropping expression was missed. The funniest thing was he thought that he really had to move to the other side of the office due to my sign. He asked the boss about it. Wakakaka.... :-D For the rest of the morning, he was "cursing" at the opposite cube while unpacking and setting up his station.

"Happy unpacking"

Anyway, Swee Hua got me this new toy from Hong Kong. I was so happy. (It would be total lovely if I don't have to pay for it....HiakHiak) It was a dream for me to own a mickey mouse soft toy since my childhood. Little does anyone know about it, right?! Suddenly, I kind of relating myself to a statement that my auntie always makes about me. She always recites that I am "cartoon lang" 'aka' a big fan of cartoon.

I thought about getting it on-line for a few times, but the price is about RM300 if you converted it from USD, for may be one that is smaller than this. This time due to Swee Hua's thoughtfulness and helpfulness to transport this mickey mouse from Hong Kong's disneyland, I got it for RM110. Yippie! I told myself this is an early gift/token for my 1 year anniversary(20 of June) in Altera. Cheers...
