one week is gone

Last Sunday, at this time, I dragged my exhausted body on my lovely bed to take a rest after my Penang Hill hiking. Yes!! I conquered Penang Hill again after 7 years since my first hike in 2000 with Lau Tong, CK and Choon Yim. During my first hike, Lau Tong and CK used their so-called king-scout-instinct trying to lead us to walk on the path that cutting through the jungle. At one point, instead of heading up to the hill, we were walking toward a farm house with a dog barking at us as we were strangers to it. (duh! what kind of statement is that?! -_-") By the end, we tried to listen to the cable car sound and followed its trails up to the hill.

Penang Hill
I woke up by 6am on a Sunday morning. *giggle* Due to my expectation of a banana and a bottle of mineral water from the organizer at the downhill, I ate only two pieces of cracker biscuits before hitching on Poay Ying's new PHD MyV. (There was a craze of PHD number plate. People were willing to pay more for it. Cars were booked earlier and agreement were reached between the buyers and car agents to have cars with PHD number plate. After all, I was thinking what is so great about permanent head damage? I know it is a lousy approach to make a joke. wakaka.)

As both Chia Hooi and I hadn't met up with Poay Ying before the hike, we did not have the event T-shirt with us. Thus, we had to change inside of her car while she was cruising to the coastal highway. "Wonderful" view? What all the bypassing drivers got to see were two skillful ex-rangers that could change their clothes at anywhere and anytime. We were well trained, believe me.

which is formed by all walks of people

Upon our arrival, we saw a green sea of hikers. I quickly ushered Poay Ying and Chia Hooi to go and grab the food. Only then, I was informed that I would only get to have banana when I reached the hilltop. *groaning, I need my banana now! What are you thinking, dirty-minded boy?* At around 745am, we started our journey up. We kept motivating each other with the favorite phase in all the hiking outings, "We were about to reach our destination....keep going." After 1 hour and 50 minutes of physical and mental struggling, the three pretty ladies finally stepped their feet in front of the police station of Bukit Bendera (Penang Hill).

After the lucky draw session, we walked all the way down. It was a decision that making my legs ached for the next three days. So, I made a silent vow that I will never walk down from Penang Hill. Later on, we went to have our brunch at New Zealand Restaurant along Gurney Drive with extreme hunger. Yummy. But, the waitress overcharged us for a plate of vegetable that we already canceled. Poay Ying found out after she reached home. *Damn!* Lesson need to be learned - always check your bill before you make the payment.

Monday is here again...Arggghhh, I am looking forward to the four days of holiday by the end of this week. Let's fighting! Oh, I forgot to talk about my past Tuesday's blood donation. May be I will do it tomorrow with some photo from office. :)
