A new lunar year is going to start in less than 90 minutes. Mama is sleeping in the room as she woke up very early this morning to prepare the food for the ancestor praying. I woke up early this year too; just to help in the kitchen. A cruel fact reinforced upon - I am not a knife person. Stay cool, I did not cut my fingers. I just cannot cut the mengkuang thin enough to make mengkuang-cha. My mum and my brother can cut the mengkuang real thin as well as CK. So, why bother to learn? There are always someone can do it. *mischievous giggle*
3 of us - my brother, my sister and I went to Queensbay in the afternoon. Human traffic increased slowly from 12pm(the time we reached) till 4pm(the time we left). My brother was there to do his last minute shopping as my mother kept nagging him throughout the morning to get a pair of new pants. It is not fair at all. I get scolded every time I buy some clothes home. *feet stepping on the ground* :)
The queen of the house had waken up. I might need to go and help to prepare the fruit for the twelve o'clock prayer. Before I go, I will update you with photo of chinese potato.

Chinese PotatoPinkynthebrain showed off his fried qiku when we grouped in his cube two/three weeks ago. There was a Malay colleague, who had not heard of qiku and asked out of curiosity what is qiku in English term. I answered straight away,"Arrowhead!" However, it turned out not many people know how this qiku really come from and not many people know it is also known as arrowhead. So, I took some effort and root this piece of information down on the internet.

But, I can't seem to get the photo of it. Thus, I decided to take one myself while my aunt was peeling them to be fried later last weekend. From its outlook, it is no surprise that it is known as arrowhead because it indeed has a pointed tip.
