Christmas of 2006

Christmas holiday started off with birthday celebration for Auntie Sim on Saturday afternoon, followed by a surprise midnight supper/birthday first meal for Donkoi, then another exclusive meal to conclude the birthday of Donkoi. The story did not stop on just Monday. Michelle is back from US and we had supper on Tuesday night for hours. I could not recall the last time I hang out for such a long period at a mamak stall. Yeap. It is all about food and I need a break. My stomach had sent me a sign yesterday morning. Now, I can eat less food. So, buffet is temporary not the option for my meal. It is great that I won't be cut throat by the expensive price in hotel during this holiday season.

Thanks, Speearr!

at least 100 of them

This gingerbread hearts could be found in Speearr's blog. I have wild imagination about it. As the hawker just hang it without plastic wrapper around it, will the gingerbread get too frozen due to the low temperature and the people might need to heat it up before they can eat it? But if they heat it up, what will happen to the multi-colour decoration on top of it? My effort of finding out the answer was by watching a gingerbread programme on TV during Christmas. But, the programme was focusing on how-to-make gingerbread and how-to-decorate gingerbread, nothing regarding hanging the bread and selling it. May be someone can tell me what actually happen to the gingerbread? Or we are not supposed to eat, but to hang it on the Christmas tree? *Wakaka*

Merry Christmas!

Pre-birthday celebration for Auntie Sim. She is born on 24th of December as well. We ordered a tableful of cuisines. Before the food was on the table, we captured a few photos. Look at my 17-year-old sister ~ self-reflect ~ I began to look like my aunt and my mum. Got myself a yoga pant after the meal in Queensbay. However, I don't get to wear it on 2006 as I missed my yoga class yesterday due to my training in Evergreen Hotel. I shall wear it on 3th of January, 2007. *tsk-tsk*

Midnight Supper
I cooked supper for Donkoi as he had to work past 12am and I don't think there will be any restaurants available to serve dinner by then. As his parents were away for the holiday, I knocked on his door through his younger brother.

Burnt Garlicbread Squares

The first failure was microwave operation. I turned on too long duration to cook the garlic bread and it burned my garlic breads. Chopping the garlic bread took up a lot my time. Sob-sob. I tried to do it again as Donkoi likes garlic bread a lot. This time the garlic bread looked great, but it sticked on the plates. Where is the manual?!!!! [Banging my head on the microwave]

The supper for three people.

A quotation goes, "A hungry man is an angry man." My quotation goes, "A full man is a crazy man."

Mango cake for the mango lover.

TGI Friday of Queensbay
I mentioned that I kept repeating to Donkoi that there is no gift for him and he trudly believe me after I had been telling him for a month. This scenario is known as self-fulfilling prophecy. When he unwrapped the gift, the first question he asked, "You knitted it yourself?". May be he just could not believe that I could knit, he kept repeating the questions to indicate his doubta. Eventually, he expressed his gratitude by crying fakely. Let's check out his expression when he unfolded his gift.
