If only anyone can get me the dialog script, I will vote you as the best buddy in the world.
I heart Avatar so very much.
There are sentence after sentence to capture and to ponder about throughout the movie. James Cameron presented many subtle yet powerful messages throughout the movie. The messages were not broadcast in parallel. They were lined up perfectly with the pace of the story. The sensation opens up minds to link the messages with the issues, which we are facing and seeing each day.
Sorry if anyone hasn't watched the movie. But, I need to write down the moment in the movie, whereby my tears rolled down. I cannot remember the exact sentence; it sounds something like this. "You think you can be the peacemaker, but, it is time to wake up" I cried. It really takes passion and empathy to commit to help others. Sometimes, it is so difficult that you feel like giving up. This devilish thoughts eat you up. But, persistence and endurance will lead you to your destination. There is just one commitment. No giving out. There should be an outcome - no limitation by your own mind, but rather to have faith that you will achieve your goal.
The movie reminds me again the Penan people in Sarawak or many aborigines, who are still being forced out from the forest. "We have nothing that they want."; they have something that we desired. In our civilized society, a business trade cannot be formed if there are no agreement from both parties. However, we still march into the forest, exploiting the ground. Who is the barbarian? One that wears the tie and the suit or one that covers his private part with leaves?
Before I sign off today with a heavy head filled with messages from the movie, the last thought I would like to put down - Jake Scully's role is very similiar to Bruno Mansor in Penan history. So, my last 15 minutes of tear is for the Penan people, who are losing their homeland due to our irresponsible system.
Here, I recommend you to read "A Teachable Moment" (thoughts after watching Avatar too)! Good night. :0)
