So, I met a terrible accident in my Lake Tahoe trip. I decided rather not to mention in this blog right after the accident because I know there are many concerning parties (family members & friends) would worry. After recounting the whole event to my family, I feel I should let friends knowing like how grateful I am that I am still alive. (One of the travel companion took the photo of the event. I would upload that photo to let you know why I am so grateful. Anyway, the wrecked Saturn Outlook scores 9/10 for the safety.)
Two blessings out of the accident:
1. Everyone in the car survived and no one has any bloody injury on the spot.
2. We got the accident insurance. The damages were covered, except fine ticket and towing fee in the middle of a snow storm.
There were 5 of us inside the car. I survived the accident with some of the people I dislike now. Even after surviving such a major accident, I would expect people to be rather blessed to be alive. However, people can be rather stubborn and immature. They took away from the accident with nothing. It was a disastrous accident, which was worsened with cheapskate attitude of people. It was 10000 worst than missing the flight.
My aunts were jokingly pulling my leg - may be missing the flight is an early omen for you not to even board the plane to go to US. But, I personally took all the bad scenarios for the last few months of my 2009 as a learning platform to test my endurance to cope the difficulties in life. When good things came naturally to me, I felt blessed most of the time. But, when good things happen to me now, I treasure them. After that accident, my passion for life is stronger. I start to dream again, eager to learn again and anticipate surprises in life again...
