Weekly entry. Sorry. I am kind of busy and occupied, especially engaging myself very much at work. The most desirable daily activities are laying on bed and sleeping until 12am. Unfortunately, it did not happen for many days already. Last weekend was busy and busy. Before I obtain the missing photos from Donkoi for our last weekend outing, let talked about a show that I watched last Sunday with paid tickets at the new cinema at Queensbay. The chair was as comfortable as I could recall. [Announcement: I am thinking of participating in the GSC northern region contest. Thus, my dear friends, if you happen to visit Queensbay/Gurney GSC, please keep the ticket stubs for me. Many thanks.]
As Valentine's Day is approaching, diamond's price must be fleeing high. In contrast, man's saving accounts are dropping low. Therefore, I am here to provide you a suggestion, may be it's time to bring your girlfriend to watch Blood Diamond in order to save your money for your dream gadgets. HaHaHa! For the girls, if your boyfriend did not bring you to see the movie, just put up the same old watery eyes in front of the glittering diamond shops when you are with him. However, the movie is still worth watching. May be just hand out with girl friends to watch it.
I enjoy watching movie that inform me facts or happenings around the world in the past or present. For instance, the movie I just watched, Blood Diamond. Before 850pm of last Sunday, I thought blood diamond is a phrase to describe the colour entity of a diamond. For example, may be red diamond or some very rare diamond. In actual fact, blood diamond (also called a conflict diamond or a war diamond) is a diamond mined in a war zone and sold, usually clandestinely, in order to finance an insurgent or invading army's war efforts. [quote from wikipedia]
Though the people come from the same nation and share the same history for being colonized by other Western country, it is observed that human of the same kind can kill among themselves just for the interest of wealth and power. I pity those innocent peasants that are caught between the government and rebels, surviving in the society with only guns and rifles. Most of the time, family members are scattering across the country with little hope of reunion and stronger men will be forced to slave themselves for diamond labour with no expectation of wages, but weapons upon their head anytime if they slack. So, what can I do to help them though it might not be significant?
1) Stop buying diamond. [Donkoi is clapping his hooves. No way.]
2) Knowing the origin of the diamond. [Sound approach.]
3) By asking whether the diamond is conflict-free. [Perfect. At least, this is what I can do. :)]
p/s to bing: thank you for errgghhh... passing back. -_-
p/s to speearr: size does matter, especially, you know... for the satisfaction of a young lady, like me. hehehehe.... Yeah, I am talking about the screen in the cinema. blek!
