Phuket 01

After a week of 6:15 waking up and 5:15 going home routine, I finally had a two-day break. It is so precious and it is so fun. Now, I understand why all the working people turn into green monsters when they know that you are still studying. I just came back from a fish-eating quest in Kulim. Riding in Lau Tong's spacious CRV and absurd jokes from Wee Liam were pleasureable. How much I wish that I still bump around without a job!

Anyway, I am glad that I can find myself some times to sort my pictures out and blog on my Phuket trip too!

Air-Asia Flight

It is a different experience to fly on the budget airplane from KL, Malaysia to Phuket Thailand. It is different in many ways:
1. I had to take a bus, which is known as Sky bus from KL central to the LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) at KLIA.
2. It is budget aircraft and it is free seating.
3. The seats are cushioned in leather. Nice!
4. I got scolded by the air stewardess for taking photographs in the plane, even when the plane is still resting on the ground. May be because of that, I think air stewardess from MAS is more beautiful and polite.

Anyway, the best thing that happened before we landed in Phuket was I saw a rainbow underneath of the aeroplane. There was a saying - if you see a rainbow from a plane, your wish will be granted. CK and I grabbed the chance to make a wish. Anyway, it is not the matter of the realisation of our wish that excite us. It is the thought of seeing a rare phenomena once in your life simply triggers the happy mood, setting a wonderful start of our Phuket trip.

First Meal in Phuket

Our stomachs were flattened by the time we finished checking in Patong City hotel. We headed to the famous Patong Beach to hunt for our first authentic Thai meal. We had fried glass noodle and seafood porridge. It was so yummy-dummy-yummy. May be we are just too hungry... He! :-)

King's 60 year on throne

Though Phuket Island is so far away from Bangkok, the huge King's photo was basically everywhere. The Thailand flag, which I did not recognize before I reached here, was flying along the road and the coastline. Now, I could remember the flag colour sequences as well as Penang flag, red-white-blue-white-red. The students of Thailand are so blessed as they don't have to draw the complicated 14-pointed stars like me, don't you think so?

Patong Beach

We stepped on Patong Beach! Ho-la-la!

Tourists were very friendly among each other here. They would greet you "hi!" even they just walked past you. They would stop and talk to you on the beach. They would offer to take a photo for us. It might be stange for us during the first day to see people having this gesture to us. However, CK and I are "adaptive" individuals. We began to act friendly to people as well then...

Finally, CK bought the shades, which he had been desired for ages from this pretty lady. Yeah, it is such a big relief for me! He finally stopped bugging me with the details of his imaginary shades! :-P
