Happy Halloween 2011

The kids were out asking trick or treat as early as 5 o'clock. I was still staring at my laptop screen by the living room window, surprised to see a little ghost dashing across the small field in front of my house with its orange Halloween basket. So, my first Halloween in the USA started at 5pm with myself trying to portray as a devil in red.

Invitation for trick or treat

The first kid came knocking at my door was a little felix with her parents. Before I could look at her eyes, she exclaimed in joy, "Trick or treat?". I extended the bowl with assorted tricks for her. She was politely taking one or two pieces of chocolats out of the bowl, then she said "Thank you" without the parents reminding her at the background. Yes, the kids are exceptionally well mannered in the Upstate New York. Of course, I sometime suspect the sincerity behind these routine gestures, but the formality is pleasant when the doubt is placed aside.

Anyway, Happy Belated Halloween & 11.11.11 (Everyone said happy 11.11.11 on the Facebook, but I would say happy everyday because everyday is a blessing)! ^.^
